Tavolara Marine Protected
Area The Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area covers the coast of north-eastern Sardinia, including the islands of Tavolara, Molara and Molarotto. About 15,000 hectares of sea are protected due to the naturalistic value of the marine and island environments and the level of conservation of the Posidonia oceanica meadows, polychrome sponges and ichthyofauna.
